Public Works Director Troy Davidson reported to the council that crews have been working on sewer-line rehabilitation between 3rd and 4th Street and between Elm and Maple Street. He said the older clay lines had collapsed in places, three more alleys remain to be rehabilitated, and Cloud Street similarly will have to be replaced in the near future.
Councilmember Jeff Roberts asked whether a formal plan was in place to rehabilitate the lines; Davidson said they do have a plan. The update did not include a timeline or cost estimate in the minutes; staff will follow up with project scheduling and budgeting information.
