Carrus Lakeside Health reports slow month for Bristow hospital, says CAH application remains pending

Jon Rains, a representative of Carrus Lakeside Health L.L.C., told the Bristow Hospital Authority on Dec. 16 that the operator reported a slow month for the hospital and presented a profit-and-loss statement for November.
Rains said most patients that came to the hospital during the month were trauma cases and that many were transported to other hospitals. He said the facility is still waiting on a Critical Access Hospital (CAH) designation: “the application is in Washington and hasn't been sent back for denial,” and that he would “keep his hopes up.”
Chairman Kris Wyatt said she had spoken with a representative from U.S. Rep. Markwayne Mullin's office and that the CAH matter remains in committee; she added, “Hopefully we will hear something by the end of the month.” The presentation included patient census information and updates on the hospital license and Medicare permit, though no firm dates for federal action were provided.
