Ronald Dixon, a River Road East property owner, told the select board his household has endured repeated vandalism, vehicle sabotage and off‑road vehicle trespass that have left him and his partner fearful and financially strained.
"We own property on River Road East, and we've been having a lot of troubles with our neighbors," Dixon said during public comment, later adding he had spent roughly $220,000 improving the property and estimated losses from vandalism at tens of thousands of dollars. He named several local youth he said admitted to damaging equipment and said that calls to police produced few responses.
Dixon asked the board to reach out to the sheriff and the fire chief and requested the town help direct callers to deed and survey records at the clerk’s office. Board members responded that property‑line disputes are civil matters requiring a real‑estate attorney but agreed staff would follow up with the sheriff to ensure formal complaints are logged and to assist Dixon with deed and survey research where possible.
