Following a closed session for real property negotiation and legal consultation, Saltville council certified compliance with Virginia open-meeting law and authorized Town Manager Cecile Rosenbaum to advertise a public hearing on Dec. 9, 2025 regarding a deed of gift from the town to Lifetime Wellness Center LLC for property located at 343 and 345 Palmer Avenue.
Councilman Cary Sauls made the motion to authorize the advertisement; Councilman David Buchanan seconded and the roll call vote was unanimous. The certified closed-session statement was entered into the record prior to the authorization.
The authorization directs staff to place the deed-of-gift matter on the Dec. 9 agenda and to publish the required public-notice materials; council did not take final action on the deed at the Nov. 12 meeting.
