Ron Orr, chairman of the Saltville Industrial Development Authority (SIDA), presented the authority's monthly financial report showing a bank balance of $156,467.11 as of Oct. 31, 2025 and several certificates of deposit and projected income streams.
The SIDA report lists certificates of deposit totaling roughly $331,941.84 (with individual CD amounts recorded) and details potential income from royalties and leases. Orr noted outstanding obligations including a line of credit for the Old Town Shop; the report included a preliminary budget estimate and projected fiscal-year balance.
Planning Commission Chair Matt Prater presented the commission's monthly activities, including ongoing comprehensive-plan work and the commission's request to recruit a seventh member; council approved a motion permitting Chair Prater to seek a seventh member for the commission.
Council did not take additional fiscal action on SIDA finances during the Nov. 12 meeting; the reports were entered into the record for council oversight.
