Pamela Denopoli, manager in the State Assessed Properties Division, presented the staff recommendation for the 2026 private railroad car assessment roll and told the board the recommended assessed value is "slightly more than 1,100,000,000, resulting in approximately 13,200,000 in tax." She asked for board adoption so staff could prepare tax bills for mailing by the statutory date and collection by December 10.
Member Vasquez moved adoption of the roll; Member Schaeffer seconded. With no public comments and no requested changes, the clerk called the roll and the item passed unanimously. Staff will prepare and mail the 2026 tax bills under the private railroad car tax law.
