The board reviewed a request from Betsy Cabrera of the Kelly Brush Foundation seeking permission for a gravel cycling route on Saturday, Sept. 12. Chair read the organizer's plan: the foundation anticipates 50 to 100 cyclists, will retain local police departments, sheriffs, course support vehicles and private security, and plans to place directional signage that would be removed when the course closes.
Board members asked for clearer, paged maps and proof of insurance; they noted two route options (a shorter route entering via Dewey Road and a longer route through West Salisbury and Shoreham) and asked staff to confirm which route is proposed through Leicester and to verify the organizer’s insurance before the board considers approval.
