Summary
The commission heard an Executive Director report that the audit is delayed with a new firm, agreed a personnel policy change removing board role from hiring interviews, and set the Annual Meeting for June 9 at Barnes Camp. During the Executive Director's report the commission was told that the audit has not been completed because a new auditing firm is taking longer than expected; staff hopes to have the final audit at the May meeting. The Annual Meeting was set for June 9 at Barnes Camp with Black Diamond Barbeque providing catering. Staff noted that Seth Jensen will be out for 3–5 weeks after the birth of his child and that CDBG work will begin in July.
The board also reviewed administrative changes: a personnel policy update removed a sentence recommending Board member involvement in employment interviews, reflecting a change in hiring practice. Community updates included a $150,000 donation to the Johnson Library project (supported by a CDS for the library) and a note that Wolcott's new wastewater system is nearly ready to go out to bid. The meeting adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
