Kirby planning board approves September minutes, assigns follow‑ups

At its October meeting the Kirby Planning Committee approved the prior meeting minutes, assigned staff to check permits on a Mud Hollow Road property shown in photos, and set next meeting and training reminders.
Committee member (S1) moved to approve the September minutes and Committee member (S3) seconded; members expressed agreement and the motion passed by voice. The Chair (S2) recorded receipt of nearly 50 survey responses and outlined work to scan and compile them for the town plan.
The committee assigned staff follow‑up tasks: ask Marla to provide photos of the Mud Hollow property, have Erin or Aaron check permit records and listers, and report back. The committee also agreed to scan survey responses into a single document and to use AI tools to summarize public input ahead of the November meeting. "I'm going to come in next week, and Erin and I are gonna scan it into one document...David has AI and that this is what AI is really good at," the Chair (S2) said.
Members also set the next meeting for Tuesday, November 4 (Election Day) and discussed attending a Northern Vermont Development Association (NVDA) training on subdivision regulations on October 7. No additional votes were taken at the meeting aside from approval of minutes and a final motion to adjourn.
