He said LAV2023-15 (Joe Sutera) is close to final inspection; KOA West pizzeria and KOA West landscaping reviews remain in progress; two retaining walls at KOA West courtyard are in progress and will require continued review; Scott Sherman’s 277 Main St permit was approved pending payment of fees; Heidi Patha’s entrance plans changed and are under review; and the Suites of Lava project is awaiting next-stage actions.
Rowdy also reported a retaining-wall issue for Mark Oyler where a large tree trunk prevented final occupancy; the plan is to cut the trunk to ground level, install a railing, and request a state inspection. These updates outline near-term building-permit actions and outstanding items staff will return to the council as projects progress.
