The City Council approved the Chamber of Commerce's 2025 marketing budget to be paid from the city's 1% lodging-tax allocation and authorized the mayor to sign a Brandcraft marketing contract.
Chamber representative Sherril Tillotson presented the proposed 2025 marketing budget. Councilmember John Head moved to fund the Chamber from the 1% allocation; Councilmember Leah Navarro seconded, and the motion passed unanimously. Council President Rickey Frandsen then moved that the mayor be authorized to sign the Brandcraft marketing contract; the council approved that motion and specified the expenditure come from the 1% fund.
The council also approved a special-event permit for the Fire and Ice event. Meeting minutes do not specify the contract value for Brandcraft or detailed line items in the Chamber budget; those financial details were referenced as being in the packet but were not read aloud at the meeting.
