Arlen described a request by a resident identified as Corey Marshall to install a 30-foot culvert at an existing driveway and said the owner would pay for the culvert and the installation work. "He's gonna pay for the culvert and the work doing the actual culvert job," Arlen said, and the board agreed the town would perform ditching to address the washout.
Board members also discussed alternatives to a larger culvert, noting the location frequently washes out. One member suggested cleaning the ditch and lining it with two-inch stone to allow water to pass without major excavation. The discussion included questions about grant availability for a larger ditching project and the practical depth constraints that may limit culvert size.
