Selectboard authorizes request to reallocate ARPA and state funds for village wastewater project before 2026 deadline

The Londonderry Selectboard on Aug. 4 authorized Town Administrator Aileen Tulloch to write to the Commissioner of the Department of Environmental Conservation seeking reallocation of state general funds and ARPA funds between the town’s North and South village wastewater projects.
A project schedule submitted by Matt Bachler of the Windham Regional Commission noted that ARPA-funded work has a hard deadline of Aug. 31, 2026. Because schedule constraints could affect which village work is eligible, the board voted unanimously to ask the Commissioner for a reallocation of funds to address timing concerns while continuing the project on its current schedule until the request is decided.
The motion to direct the Town Administrator to send the letter was made by Martha Dale and seconded by Taylor Prouty; it passed unanimously. Tulloch was authorized to sign the letter on behalf of the Town. The board also noted the possibility of requesting the Commissioner to change allocations if needed.
