The Selectboard approved several routine personnel and permit items during its April 21 meeting. The Board hired Nick Crane as part-time parks staff at $25 per hour effective April 21, 2025, subject to a six-month probationary period (motion by James Ameden; seconded by Taylor Prouty). The Board also appointed Kelly Pajala to the Parks Board; the Parks Board had voted unanimously to appoint Pajala.
Licensing approvals included a 2nd Class Liquor License for Jelley Enterprises, Inc. (property at 2102 N. Main St.), 1st/2nd/3rd Class Liquor Licenses for Turner Enterprises, LLC (New American Grill at 5700 Route 100), and a 2nd Class Liquor License for O’Connors Corner Store, LLC (1 Main St.). The Board approved Itinerant Vendor Permit #2025-02 for the West River Farmers Market contingent on receipt of the application fee and an acceptable certificate of insurance naming the Town as additional insured; the Farmers Market committee plans a meeting May 4 with Town Hall as a backup. The Board also authorized Town Hall facility use for a private event on May 10, 2025.
