Caleb Magoon announced that board member Greg Paus had resigned after many years of service and that Carol Caldwell-Edmonds will replace him on the Executive Committee for the remainder of FY26. Requests for Marvin Awards nominations were noted.
Members provided brief community updates: the P.H. Edwards building in Hyde Park Village is being renovated into artist studios, housing and commercial space; Johnson Village contractors were impacted by sudden winter weather; Morristown and Cambridge reported peaceful protests; North Hyde Park walkway scoping is in final stages; Belvidere’s Community Trust is working with the Preservation Trust of Vermont on the elementary school; Johnson’s library renovation is underway and the town is collaborating with Vermont State University; Wolcott announced a Haiku writing workshop on Feb. 7. Board members thanked outgoing member Greg Paus for his service.
