Tasha Wallis provided an initial review of mid-year budget adjustments, telling the board that "this year there were more moving pieces than usual," and said the full budget will be voted on at the February meeting.
In the Executive Director’s report staff noted that a river-gauge grant applied for via Senator Welch's office two years ago has been awarded. The minutes also record that staff member Dee Gish has given notice and will leave on Feb. 20 and that Nicole Sancibrian will temporarily provide financial-manager services. The audit is near completion and staff are troubleshooting QuickBooks technical issues.
Board members thanked staff for the budget summary. No formal budget vote or staffing appointment occurred at the Jan. 27 meeting; those items were deferred or described as interim arrangements.
