Staff informed the Select Board that HB Logging submitted an Act 250 permit application related to subdividing a parcel on Route 2. "I received an act 2 50 permit for HB logging to start subdividing some of his land down on Route 2," the staff member said, adding that the state application was on hold because it was incomplete and that surveyors are preparing corrected paperwork.
Staff characterized the area as roughly an 85‑acre parcel with proposed commercial acreage and several 4–5‑acre building lots; board members noted parts of the property have been slated for sale to John and Cynthia Roy and that the parcel’s deed language had recently been revised to allow subdivision. The staff member said the town will monitor the state review and the planning board filing before formal action by the Select Board.
