Selectboard decides to leave temporary bridge in place pending further review

A board member outlined that the state could rent a bridge for about $70–$100 per month and that, before placement, the state would require removal of obstructions under the bridge. The member said FEMA funding committed ahead of repair work could later reimburse removal and repair costs (but not the act of setting and removing the bridge). Based on input from staff and members who inspected site conditions, the board agreed to leave the temporary bridge in place for the moment and to take action only if conditions change or a safety issue emerges.
