Selectboard considers adding old‑bridge debris removal to Brook Road RFP
Summary

During the road report, a selectboard member relayed a resident’s concern about remnants of the old Brook Road bridge — concrete with rebar protruding — and asked whether the replacement contract would remove that debris.
Board members said debris removal was not currently specified in the bid package. One member said Matt could add removal to the RFP if the selectboard wanted it included. Members emphasized the need for Matt to coordinate with Nate (the project designer/contractor) to confirm whether Nate’s planned work would already remove abutments or debris and to ensure permit and contract language covers disposal and safety. The board agreed to have staff follow up and verify whether debris removal is in the scope or requires an explicit contract change.
