The board approved several technology purchases at the April 13 meeting, including ClearTouch TVs for $51,775 (KCAV) and student and staff Chromebook and laptop purchases from CDW totaling $100,831.92 across line items (11-inch Chromebooks $38,233; 14-inch Chromebooks $27,961.80; teacher laptops $24,332.60; para/aide laptops $10,304.52).
All motions for these purchases were made by Kelsey Hartman and seconded by Patty Talley and carried 6–0. The board also approved the Chromebook Use Contract, the district Acceptable Use Policy, and the Google Workspace for Education notice to parents and guardians (motion by Patty Talley, second by Travis Schweger; vote 6–0).
Board members said the purchases align with planned device-replacement cycles and classroom needs. The board recorded vendor RFQs and selected lowest/responsive vendors for each device category as part of the procurement process. Implementation will proceed per the district's technology replacement schedule and vendor contracts.
