The USD 417 Board approved several capital and operations contracts at the June 8 meeting. The board authorized Task Order No. 1 under an existing On‑Call Owner’s Representative Agreement with Switchgrass Construction Advisors for capital outlay planning and bond initiative support: Phase 1 not to exceed $35,000 and Phase 2 not to exceed $40,000 (total not-to-exceed $75,000) plus reimbursable expenses not to exceed $10,000.
In separate actions the board approved a contract with Coryell Roofing for $50,633.05 to perform elastomeric roof coating restoration and patch repairs on the 1918 and 1960s sections of Council Grove Junior/Senior High School (to be funded from the Capital Outlay fund) and authorized a five‑year lease/maintenance agreement with Century Business Technologies to replace the district’s Kyocera print fleet with Sharp devices at $2,495.26 per month. Each motion passed by recorded vote (6 yea, 1 absent).
