The Selectboard reviewed the Stormwater Master Plan prepared by Fitzgerald Environmental Associates and agreed to proceed with the state-assisted grant process for conceptual designs on five identified sites.
Projects listed for conceptual design are: (1) VT Route 100 behind the bank; (2) VT Route 100, Transfer Station; (3) Old Town Garage Road parking area; (4) Pingree Park Road behind the ballfield; and (5) VT Route 11 gravel parking lot. The board concluded there was no downside to proceeding since the state would assist with grant-seeking; Town Administrator Aileen Tulloch was authorized to contact state staff to advance the grant process.
The decision does not obligate the town to accept grant awards or to begin construction; it authorizes staff to pursue funding and conceptual design work that would support later grant applications.
