Selectboard raises temporary recreation pay rates and sets director's salary at $57,000

Mountain Towns Recreation Director Liam Elio presented updated pay information for part-time parks and recreation positions. The Selectboard approved revised rates, including Basketball Referee and Soccer Referee at $40 per hour; Baseball Umpire (solo/home plate) at $25 and second-base umpire pay at $20; and various support roles and event staff at $15 per hour.
Later in the meeting the board approved an adjustment to Elio's annual salary to $57,000, effective Jan. 1, 2025. Both actions passed unanimously. The changes to temporary wages and the director's salary were presented as budgeted or already-financed adjustments and will take effect per the motion language.
