Selectboard narrows West River Road engineering RFPs to three firms and schedules vendor interviews

Town Administrator Trish Waugh said she prepared an RFP summary and reported feedback from VTrans and ACRPC, which recommended narrowing proposals to three firms for interviews. The Selectboard selected Stantec, Otter Creek and SLR for the next step and directed Trish to schedule a special meeting on June 23, 2026, beginning at 5:30 p.m. with 45 minutes allocated per vendor. Trish will also prepare specific questions for vendors and send thank-you letters to firms not advanced.
The board noted that some borings could be in town right-of-way while others may require access to private property and that property owners will be notified about potential testing; the board declined to advance Brierley due to projected cost concerns.
