Lisa, representing the Conservation Commission (LCC), presented photographs and plans for the Riverbend Pocket Park project and said the pocket park will serve as an educational spot highlighting Lincoln’s history as a river town. The Selectboard noted the town previously invested $30,000 in trees at the site and agreed that Tree Warden Bear LeVangie can assist with tree care; Trish will introduce LCC members to the Tree Warden and Ben for coordination.
LCC has applied for a small AVCC grant to cover mulching and a pollinator garden; the board passed a motion to confirm that if AVCC funds are awarded they will be applied to the Riverbend Pocket Park. Lisa said LCC intends to apply for additional grants and the board recommended providing updates during quarterly report meetings.
