On Aug. 8 the Lava Hot Springs City Council accepted a bid from Iron Horse Asphalt to patch various city streets. Council President Rickey Frandsen made the motion and Councilperson John Head seconded; Councilperson Jeanie Avery asked that the contractor finish the previous job at the quoted price before new work begins. The vote was recorded as unanimous.
Council also reviewed a public works estimate for valley gutter and patching at Elm and Center but did not take action on that estimate. No contract was awarded for the Elm & Center work during the meeting; staff were directed to return with further information and a recommended motion if needed.
