Dustin SanRomani presented to the USD 417 board on March 9 about his role as the district Mental Health Liaison within the Mental Health Intervention Team (MHIT). He said the program is in its fourth year at USD 417 and is funded by a grant, and that the liaison role helps connect students and families with community mental-health resources.
Board members commended the tiered system and encouraged continued outreach; Trustee Dan Fox said the liaison work helps normalize asking for help and praised the district's progress. No new funding decisions were recorded during the presentation.
