Committee recommends polling-place agreements and sponsorships for 2026 elections

City Clerk Chaz Kolkish presented the annual polling-place agreements for Pennington County, Mead County and Douglas School District for the 2026 election cycle and asked that the agreements be forwarded to the City Council the same night to complete the approval process. The committee voted to forward each agreement with a recommendation of approval.
Kolkish also explained sponsorship/donation applications that allow a reduced fee for use of the community center by election entities. One Douglas School District sponsorship application was moved to a future council meeting; a same-night Douglas application dated 03/03/2026 was presented as arriving late and the committee recommended placing that application on the council agenda for that night. Committee members recorded affirmative voice votes on the motions.
