Marlow Board approves financial reports, consent agenda and 25-year lease at $10 per year

The board accepted financial statements prepared by Bledsoe, Hewett, and Gullekson, Certified Public Accountants, LLP, and approved the consent agenda that recorded General Fund encumbrances of $141,116.48 and warrants of $1,015,686.54; Building Fund encumbrances of $274,551.00 and warrants of $802,398.24; Child Nutrition encumbrances of $2,643.20 and warrants of $49,618.94; activity and bond fund encumbrances and warrants as listed on the agenda. The motion to approve the consent agenda was made by Chad Choate and seconded by Larry Johnson; the recorded vote shows all five board members voting "Yea." (Motion carried.)
Separately, the board voted to renew a 25-year lease with the City of Marlow for the property at 407 West Seminole at a cost of $10.00 per year. The lease renewal motion was moved by Larry Johnson and seconded by Chad Choate and carried with a unanimous recorded vote. The property address and the $10 annual cost were those recorded on the meeting agenda and minutes.
The meeting minutes list the attendance of Superintendent Corey Holland and building principals among staff present; the minutes do not record substantive discussion about the financial statements or lease terms beyond the motions and votes.
