Mayor Donna Weber presided over a special meeting of the Meeker Board of Trustees on March 25, 2026, and after returning from a closed executive session the board voted to terminate Joe Jones from employment with the Town of Meeker. Trustee Kenneth Massey made the motion to terminate; Mayor Weber seconded. The vote was recorded as Yea — Lanny Thompson, Kenneth Massey, Aaron Head, Mike Orman, and Donna Weber, and the motion carried.
The board also directed that Mr. Jones report to City Hall on Thursday, March 26, 2026, to return all Town-issued property, including keys, uniforms, and any other items in his possession; the minutes record that Mr. Jones "acknowledged and agreed." The meeting record shows the board entered executive session at 5:32 p.m. and returned to open session at 6:04 p.m. before taking the personnel action.
The special meeting minutes list those answering roll call as Donna Weber, Mike Orman, Aaron Head, Lanny Thompson, and Kenneth Massey. Town Administrator Jeff Wilbourn and Town Attorney Jim Hodgens were listed as present; Town Clerk Kimberly Haynes prepared the minutes and signed them along with Mayor Weber.
