Police chief requests desktop and sends officer to training; council approves

Council approved the desktop purchase on a motion by Ken Collins, seconded by TJ Duncan. Randy Jones asked what would happen if RJ went to the academy and resigned; Joey said he had a verbal contract with the city for RJ to stay at least one year. The council also asked for additional tire quotes before finalizing that expense and approved sending RJ to the training with the stated reimbursement conditions.
The items were approved without recorded opposition; the chief said he will pursue further quotes for the truck tires.
