Mulberry City Council adopted four resolutions to set public hearings to consider condemning four properties: 704 S. Military Ave., 201 S. Elm, 116 S. Walnut and 410 S. Military.
Allan Adleman moved to adopt the resolutions (2026-04, 2026-05, 2026-06 and 2026-07) and the motions were seconded and carried. Clerk Amy Tucker said the city will send certified-mail copies to each owner and publish the resolutions twice; state notice requirements mean hearings cannot be held fewer than 30 days after the second publication. The clerk indicated the April meeting is the earliest practical date for the hearings.
The council did not discuss remediation steps or costs in detail at the meeting; Amy Tucker explained next steps are notice and scheduled hearings where owners may appear. The resolutions set the process in motion but do not themselves order demolition or transfer of title.
