The Box Elder City Council gave first reading to Ordinance No. 787 to revise the zoning of Lots 1–14 of Block 9 and Lots 1–13 of Block 10 of the Alpha Omega Subdivision to Residential 2. Planning Director Laurie Patton told the council the application accompanies a final plat and would create 27 single-family lots as the subdivision expands south on Alpha Avenue.
"This is the next phase of the Alpha Omega Subdivision moving south on Alpha Avenue,” Patton said, adding the requested Residential 2 designation matches the zoning of existing single-family lots to the north. Councilor Knight moved to approve Ordinance 787 on first reading; Councilor Beauchamp seconded and the roll-call vote was unanimous.
