The minutes report that the algaecide used during cleaning caused a chemical reaction that left rust‑colored staining on the underside of the overhang. The contractor (identified as Joe) offered to either repaint the affected area professionally or reduce the service fee by $100; the full service cost was $485. The board agreed by consensus to pay the full amount and proceed with repainting as previously planned.
Trustees discussed whether to repaint the entire building or only trim and block areas but tabled that decision pending an evaluation of the backside gutters and a cost estimate to possibly replace the back door. Kevin Peterson recommended installing soffit and fascia over cracked plaster and replacing three lights with two new fixtures; no cost estimate was available and the item will return in July.
