A committee member described a temporary bridge option from the state that would be provided at no purchase cost but would carry a monthly rent and require installation and removal. "The state, which is no cost to us other than $70 a month rent other than to install it and then to have it removed," the member said while discussing options for emergency crossings.
Staff noted the town had already included figures for temporary repairs in earlier FEMA submissions and said he would ask the state about reimbursement for fronting installation costs. "We've already requested that so that 665,000 in there is for that bridge site," the staff member said when discussing project accounting and the 665,000 figure tied to the bridge site.
