Public Works Superintendent Ernie Chase reported a sewer pump problem that required him to rent a fresh-air machine to enter a manhole and to buy a $1,500 part to complete the repair. He also reported that USG performed maintenance on the water tower and the inspection went well.
Ernie updated the council on parks and streets work: Dwayne patched potholes, new swing set and climber arrived for the ballpark, outfield fence materials were delivered, and concrete was ordered for the gazebo. Council agreed to pay Mike Gebelin $1,200 to finish the concrete after Randy reported that Mike Evans had offered $1,200 but would not perform the work. Allan Adelman moved to pay Mike Gebelin $1,200 and Debra Rice seconded; motion carried.
No further funding sources for the $1,500 pump part or the $1,200 gazebo payment were specified in the transcript.
