Selectboard accepts $5,000 reimbursement and $20,000 PILOT tied to Glebe Mountain sale

The Board considered agreements with The Nature Conservancy related to the sale of the Glebe Mountain (McGraw) property to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Shane O’Keefe said the payments were part of the original 2019 agreement.
Taylor Prouty moved to accept the terms of the proposed agreements that reimburse $5,000 to the Town’s Conservation Fund (originally provided by the Town in 2019) and provide a one-time $20,000 payment to compensate for lost tax revenue. The Town Administrator was authorized to execute the agreements and the $5,000 reimbursement will be redeposited into the Conservation Fund; the $20,000 will be booked as a payment in lieu of taxes. The motion passed unanimously.
