Selectboard approves ‘On the Move — The Living New Haven River’ sign graphic and town-forest name proposals

Katie Manaras of the Conservation Commission presented a graphic design titled “On the Move - The Living New Haven River” and proposed standardized names for several town forest parcels: Colby Hill Lot to be Colby Hill Town Forest; Urz Lot to be Riverbend Town Forest; Ripton Lot to be Wildwoods Town Forest; and Willards Woods to remain the same.
The Selectboard discussed the name changes and map consistency; it approved the graphic design with Katie’s requested adjustments (adding the town logo and minor edits) and recorded the motion as PASSED 4/0/1. Manaras said the LCC will return to the board on March 17 with final proposals for signs, maps, and town-plan consistency.
The approval covers the graphic and design adjustments only; construction and installation of signs will occur at a later date after the LCC’s follow-up presentation.
