Lincoln Selectboard swears in new member, elects McGowan chair and Stockman vice chair

At its March 4 meeting the Lincoln Selectboard administered the oath to newly elected member Lori Atkins, re-elected Tim McGowan as chair for one year and appointed Ken Stockman vice chair; the board also set a regular meeting schedule and posting locations for public notices.
Town Clerk Sally Ober administered the oath of office to Tim McGowan and newly elected Selectboard member Lori Atkins; both responded “I will” and signed their oaths.
On organizational business the board named leadership for the coming year. Tim McGowan accepted nomination and, on a motion by Ken Stockman seconded by Lori Atkins, was appointed Board Chair for a one-year term (motion recorded as PASSED 4/0/1). Ken Stockman accepted nomination and was appointed Vice Chair for one year on a motion by Lori Atkins seconded by Tim McGowan (PASSED 4/0/1).
The board also formalized routine procedures: regular meetings will be held on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. at the Town Office; notices will continue to be posted at five designated physical locations and online; and the Addison Independent will remain the newspaper of record for public notices. The board confirmed that the Chair or Vice Chair, when presiding, will move warrant approvals and the full board will vote to authorize Accounts Payable and Payroll warrants.
The items are part of the board’s annual housekeeping ahead of substantive work scheduled later this month.
