Matt West, administrator of the Workers' Compensation Division, updated the Management and Labor Advisory Committee that the division’s modernization request for proposal has been posted to Oregon Buys and is accepting bids. “Our request for proposal was posted to Oregon Buys, and it's, now open for bids,” West said, adding the posting will be open for roughly 43 days and is scheduled to close on Dec. 16.
West invited committee members and stakeholders to the rules advisory committee meeting on Nov. 18 (Divisions 9, 10 and 15 medical rules) and described the next steps: vendor selection by a selection committee, contract negotiation and subsequent implementation planning. He characterized the posting as a key procurement milestone and thanked the committee for its support.
The update underscores that procurement timelines are now driving the short‑term schedule: after the RFP closes, the division expects a multi‑month review and negotiation period before a contract is finalized and stakeholder implementation planning accelerates.
