John Terry of Kwikom presented a plan to extend fiber service to New Strawn, saying the recently awarded Jacobs Creek Project will bring fiber to that area first and that Kwikom's New Strawn build would largely use 4Rivers poles. Terry said the north end of town would not be on poles and would require use of existing infrastructure and utility easements, and he asked the city to confirm the plan was acceptable.
Robert Skipper (present) and staff discussed right-of-way and easement considerations; the council agreed to take the proposal under consideration. Terry thanked the city for writing the support letter for the Jacobs Creek Project, which he said helped win the award.
