He described process next steps: if the work session goes well, the measures move to separate floor votes and then to the governor; a recent technical amendment for a conforming language change will require the bill to be reprinted and may trigger an additional concurrence vote in the senate after the house acts.
He also reported rising national activity on licensure and mobility changes, noting that jurisdictions adopting similar reforms have increased from about 17 at the time of early testimony to roughly 24, including additions like California and New York. Committee members thanked staff and noted the committee's prior work helped smooth the legislative process.
