Nickerson council delays appointment to fill Rohling seat until April 21
Summary
After hearing introductions from three applicants and an emailed statement, the council voted unanimously to table the appointment to fill Council Member Rohling’s vacated term until the April 21, 2025 meeting.
Citizens who applied to fill the remainder of Council Member Rohling’s vacated term introduced themselves during new-business item one at the March 17 meeting. The applicants present were Ben Wallace, Sarah Gilbert and Gordon Roth; an email from Earl King was read to the council on his behalf.
After the introductions Council Member Berridge moved and Council Member Daily seconded to table the appointment decision until the April 21, 2025 meeting. The motion passed unanimously, with Murphy, Richard, Willhaus, Berridge and Daily voting in favor. No formal appointment was made at this meeting.
