Council budget update: general fund and program shortfalls, county payment expected in January

Councilmember Jeanne Haas reported on finance and economic development, saying the General Fund will be "20 or so short" (about $20,000) next year. She said Parks will be $4,000–$5,000 short, Sewer is a "pinch long," Special Highway about $10,000 short, Water is on target, and Infrastructure is slightly short but will receive a county payment in January to cover planned work.
Haas framed the shortfalls as manageable given that some planned projects have already been completed and that the county reimbursement expected in January will fund identified infrastructure projects. No motions or budget amendments were made at the meeting.
