On Feb. 17, the Nickerson City Council voted to approve up to $10,000 to cover culverts and to waive building permit fees for the construction of Fire District 3’s new station. The motion was made and seconded by Council Member Richard and Council Member Willhaus. The vote was recorded as YES from Council Members Murphy, Richard and Willhaus and NO from Council Member Daily.
Council did not specify the source of the $10,000 in the motion; the action authorizes the allocation and fee waiver to support the Fire District 3 station build. The item was considered under old business and passed during the meeting at the Nickerson Community Center.
