Library relocation set for April 26; utilities, volunteers and property transfer in place

Tom told the Select Board that the library relocation is progressing and that April 26 has been set as the relocation date. He said Green Mountain Power has walked the route and will do necessary utility work, the village agreed to subcontract portions of the work, and survey and property transfer work are underway with a March 10 transfer scheduled at the school board meeting.
Tom reported strong volunteer support for preparation—18 volunteers cleared materials and helped prep the building mover—and said donations have been offered to help cover foundation and concrete work. He also noted some federal funding has been held up but that project funds already committed to the library move are secure and the work should move forward.
