Council honors volunteer Susie; staff outlines Arbor Day proclamation

The presenter noted Susie has been the Good Earth Community Garden manager since 2020, serves on the South Coast Community Garden Association, is a certified master gardener, participates in coastal observation and seabird survey teams and volunteers with Everyone at the Table.
In separate business, staff explained the Arbor Day proclamation requirement to maintain Tree City USA status and said a larger Arbor Day event is planned for later in the spring when weather is better; staff will provide more information when the event date is set.
