Nortonville council accepts financial reports and approves monthly bills

The Nortonville City Council reviewed and accepted multiple finance items at its Feb. 12 meeting. Clerk Barbara Polson reported she will be setting up new certificates of deposit and presented the bank reconciliation and fund review; the council moved and seconded to accept the financial report as presented and the motion carried 5-0.
Polson also reported the 2024 audit is scheduled to begin in May and be finished by July 31, 2025. Separately, the council discussed utility billing totals and past-due accounts, accepted account adjustments as presented, and voted to pay monthly bills as presented; the minutes record the motion to pay all bills carried 5-0.
