"The grants that we awarded for this year, the list on the 2nd page does not include the fire department, $75,000," the presenter said, explaining the $75,000 was an out-of-cycle award recorded in January; the presenter also noted that the Rico Trails Alliance received a $250,000 Colorado Parks & Wildlife grant for a bridge project, reducing local grant demand on the center this year.
The presenter said the center is preparing for a reduced revenue year and is conserving reserves and donation income to sustain grant-making and programming. Commissioners thanked the presenter for concise financial materials and asked for the charts the presenter referenced for the county's files.
