VLCT outlines transition pilot to aid Londonderry after town administrator retirement

Kathleen Ramsay, Municipal Operations Specialist with the Vermont League of Cities & Towns, told the Selectboard the VLCT pilot offers onboarding, coaching and support to towns during administrator transitions. Ramsay said she has helped people with little or no prior town administration experience succeed in municipal manager roles with training and guidance.
Chair Tom Cavanagh said the Board expects the pilot will be useful given Shane O’Keefe’s experience and that the Selectboard will connect with VLCT once a candidate is selected to develop a detailed transition plan. The Board did not take formal action at the Jan. 20 meeting beyond hearing the presentation and confirming next steps.
